Sweet Baby Girl

Anna Kate is three months old today! It has flown by and she has been such a joy. She is wanting to sit up (amazed by her toes), so I tried her out in her Bumbo this week and she loves it. She is also getting up on her forearms when she is doing her tummy time. We had to take her to the doctor this week for severe eczema, but it seems to be clearing up. For two nights in a row, we have had of 7 straight hours of sleep! Wooohooo!
Loving her Bumbo. She likes to see the action!

Trying to rollover to get her rattle...almost!

We Love to Sing!

Cullen's favorite CD to listen to in the car is "Tiger Songs" which is a CD of the LSU marching band. Although I couldn't get it all on camera, he knows all of the words to "Hey Fighting Tigers" and can even spell T-I-G-E-R-S, Tigers at the end! I think we have another tiger fan on our hands.

Cullen also loves his instruments! Here he is doing a little drumming while singing the Barney song.

Dance Class

Cullen has begrudgingly agreed to take a Shag dance class with me...I know it was a shocker. I had so much fun learning, and I think, secretly, Cullen did too! He is a great dancer. Because he wouldn't let me get someone to take a pic of us dancing, I only have Brian and Maryanne.

First Day on the Job

Cullen started his new job at the Lincoln Agency this week. We are so excited about this new opportunity for him! He will primarily be selling commercial insurance, but can also sell personal. If anyone needs any life, homeowners, or auto insurance please let us know...we would love the business!

Our New Sandbox

The new sandbox in our backyard was finished today. Cullen was so excited he decided to go play in his PJs. I hope he has as much fun playing in this backyard as I did!

Relay for Life

Relay for Life was Friday night at Ruston High. We were so proud of Money and she made her Survivor Lap. Cullen had a big time running on the field and was so excited to be where Daddy, Uncle Bo, Papa, and Pops played football! He really liked climbing into the bouncer, but was not so good at coming down out of the bouncer. He rooked several of us into coming in to get him...I tried the ignore approach, but then he started yelling "HELP ME!"....the other parents were starting to get worried!

Pops, Lulu, and Jackson

We were so glad that Pops, Lulu and Jackson stopped by for a visit! Jackson's artwork is on display at Lincoln Parish Library and he has started baseball again this year. He loves to read and continues to do great in school.

Lincoln Parish Park

We have had such a good time at Lincoln Parish Park this spring. One one of Daddy's days off we went fishing with our new fishing pole Drew bought for Cullen. We enjoyed a picnic there Friday...the ducks were finally out!

The Library

Cullen loves going to the library. We have to have a talk before we go in to try to explain the the library is a place where we get books to read and not DVD's. Sure enough, every time he heads straight for the DVD's and wants to check out every, single one of them! After coaxing him away from the DVD's we had a good time on the computer, playing with the puppets and reading in the bathtub (his favorite, next to the DVD's)!

Good Times at the Beach!

It's Cranium time....Cullen was so excited! (Wink, Wink)

The crew at the Florabama

We had a much needed getaway weekend to Orange Beach. Four couples, with no kids for the weekend was so much fun! We ate good food, drank good drinks, and relaxed on the beach. We had a fabulous trip, but I was ready to get home to my babies! Thanks to Aunt Jan, Randall and Anna for letting us borrow the condo and taking such good care of our kiddos while we were gone.

Watching the Masters

Anna Kate is ready for her first weekend away from home!

Stroller Strides

I had a great time at Stroller Strides, exercising with Anna Kate and other mom's and babies! My friend, Maryanne Smith, teaches this class that incorporates your baby into the workout. They meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning if anyone is interested. Congratulations, Maryanne, on your new venture!

Spring Time at the Park

We have been spending a lot of time outside and at the park lately. Yesterday, we had a picnic lunch at Lincoln Parish Park and today we went to Cook Park after school. The weather has been really nice and it feels good to get out of the house after needing to stay close to home with Anna Kate for the past couple of months. We took Anna Kate for her two month check up today and she is doing great!!! She has moved from the 25% in weight to the 75%! She is up to 11 lbs 6 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long! It is hard to believe how much she is changing. Cullen is out of town on business tonight and I had book club tonight and then went to Katie Hall's Pampered Chef party. Looking forward to leaving for the beach on Thursday! About to head to bed, so I will be able to get up for bootcamp in the morning...I am super sore today!

Easter Celebration

After hunting eggs at the house, we ventured to Sunday School and church. I taught Cullen's 2 year old Sunday School class. They were all decked out in their Easter outfits and looked so cute. After church, we went to Grandmother and Granddaddy's for our Easter tradition lunch and egg hunt. Cullen didn't have much competition this year, since Karis and Clare weren't able to make it. We had a good time visiting with family, but all managed to take a nap this afternoon. (It was truly a miraculous day!) After all of our fun, I realized I had not gotten one picture of the kids together in their Easter outfits. I managed to get a late one. (Notice the mud boots with the precious white outfit on Cullen...he ditched the Sunday School sandals pretty quickly!) Anna Kate is loving to smile and was so sweet today!

The Easter Bunny Came!!

The Easter Bunny hopped last night. He really enjoyed the carrots Cullen left for him. We were so excited to see our Easter basket stuffed with new "ball sheets", a doctor's kit (Cullen calls his "Dr. Slusher"), a kite, bubble bath, bubbles, his first pair of safety scissors, and gum. Of course, his favorite item was his Yo Gabba Gabba kite ($1.00) that he broke in the first 30 minutes. He had a good time hunting the eggs, and after we made up the rule the he could open them and eat the jelly beans until he found all of the eggs, it went much faster. I think I'm going to ask the Easter bunny to hide fewer eggs next year. Anna Kate got a toy easter bunny and a Baby Bjorn. (Her new book and Kiddapotamos didn't get here in time. The Easter Bunny was last minute, as usual.) It was fun watching Cullen "get it" this year. By the way, did you know that if they put 25 in their mouth at one time, your child can get a little choked on jelly beans!
